Moxie Pest Control is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Tempe, AZ

As our People Compliance Expert, you are empowered to make decisions that directly affect your career as well as our company's success. In your role here, you will be overseeing all human resources duties, from company policies to employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws; audit and enforce adherence to corporate systems; rend opinions; advise management on needed actions
  • Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
  • Identifies and/or conducts investigations on employee relations issues in an appropriate and timely manner and provides appropriate recommendations. Provides advice to management and responds to employee inquiries.
  • Updates and maintains the HRIS to include personnel files, profiles, new hire paperwork, personnel change status, benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
  • Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
  • Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
  • Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
  • Conduct exit interviews; summarize findings and follow-up with action item meetings

Requirements & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of all human resources disciplines.
  • Familiarity with legislation concerning employment such as ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, Title VII
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization both oral and written
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
  • Candidates who are highly professional, as well as able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, will be preferred

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as an HR Generalist or similar role (3 years minimum)
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Certification(s) HRCI, PHR, SHRM- CP, SHRM-SCP (preferred, but not required)
