Mountain States Employers Council is Hiring a Director of Internal Human Resources Near Denver, CO

We are hiring a Director of Internal Human Resources to play a pivotal role in Employers Council's success.

Department: Internal Human Resources

Salary: $126,583 annually

Reports to: Vice President, Consulting Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the leadership team regarding human resources matters, including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies in alignment with the organization's culture and business goals and objectives.
  • Support and foster Employers Councils culture of an exceptional workplace
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies, and update HR practices accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations programs to foster a positive work environment and promote employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
  • Oversee the performance management process, performance evaluations, and career development planning, to drive employee performance and growth.
  • Provide guidance and support in employee relations matters, including effective communication strategies, conflict resolution, and performance improvement scenarios.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging HR technologies and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Support professional development of Internal HR team.
  • Administer and periodically evaluate Employers Council’s total compensation program.
  • Partner with leadership and management teams to ensure employee onboarding effectiveness.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • SHRM- SCP or HRCI- SPHR Certification Preferred.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems; effectively listen, seek clarification, and provide concrete and clear advice.
  • Excellent attention to detail; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement attitude: ability to suggest and implement best practices.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation, with ability to travel as needed.
