Morrison Express is looking for an Experienced Dispatcher to join our growing team in El Segundo, CA.

As the Dispatcher your will be responsible for coordinating the cargo with the airlines and truckers. Make sure to validate information provided by customers and truckers for delivery. We are looking for detailed oriented people who have a passion for our industry and working with customers, who are able to prioritize and organize their days, an who excel at communication.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday - In a perfect world 8 AM to 5 PM OR 7AM – 4:30PM, able to adjust for shipments as needed.:

Responsibilities:

• Detail Oriented
• Prior dispatch and industry experience a plus
• Schedule delivery appointments through Online Portals & via emails
• Load Plan
• Book & negotiate Transportation for appointments
• Update Milestones daily (Heavy Data Entry)
• Create Dispatch paperwork and send to carriers
• Follow up on shipments to ensure carriers pick up on time and deliver on time
• Get Proof of deliveries verbal and hard copy and enter in the system in a timely fashion
• Track accessorial (Waiting Time Layover etc.…) and update as needed in a timely fashion
• Look over carrier invoices over for accuracy and approve
• Answer emails in a timely fashion and in a professional manner at all times
• Communications with the airlines
• Setting up recovers from the airport to LAX1 warehouse
• Maintaining dispatch communication
• Must be able to able to unitize Excel spreadsheets
• Paying airline fees and protecting the cost
• Protecting cost for trucking vendors

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or industry experience
• Ability to work well with Excel
• Ability to Multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule
• Able to use all computer functions
• Communicate with the airlines and trucking vendors
• Track and trace airline flight details
