Montgomery County Government is Hiring a Work Force Leader I (Facilities Management), Grade 13 Near Rockville, MD

About the Department:

The Department of General Services, The Division of Facilities Management (DFM) delivers operational and mission critical services 24 hours a day seven days a week on behalf of County residents and Montgomery County Government. DFM manages over 400 County buildings, ensuring they are maintained at the highest level to provide a comfortable environment for employees and the public.

About The Position:

Employee will be responsible for ensuring that pre-assigned moving work is completed on time and in accordance with the work assignment and direction of Property Manager of moving operations. Employee will lead and participate in office relocation services provided by contractual crews in County facilities. The Work Force Leader oversees large office relocations, office moves, disassembling (moving/reconfigurations) and reassembling systems furniture, internal moves, and deliveries to multiple sites. Employee leads and participates in work of contractors tasked with providing moving services in County owned and leased facilities to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of contractual agreements by passing on to contracted workers instructions received from supervisor, assuring instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met, maintaining simple time and material records, and reports to the supervisor on status and progress of moving work.

Additional Employment Information

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Two (2) years of manual labor experience appropriate to the assignment of a Work Force Leader I position.

Education: Ability to read and write in English.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Physical Ability: Ability to independently perform light and heavy manual labor tasks for extended periods, often under adverse weather conditions.

License: If required by the position of assignment, possession
