The IT Technical Coordinator plays an important role in the overall scheme of the IT department. The major area of responsibility includes managing the day-to-day needs and upkeep of A/V equipment and related A/V tasks for Monosol’s Chicago Corporate office. Other areas include application and hardware support for Windows 10E and application/OS support for Mac computers. The candidate must be competent to work on the most complex projects independently and must be able to provide guidance, technical support and problem analysis for the Chicago facility staff members. Addition duties will include working Help Desk tickets for our other facilities and working with the entire Monosol IT team. Complete other miscellaneous duties as required. This is an on-site position Monday through Friday.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide audiovisual support need for our Chicago Corporate Office, which utilizes both Teams rooms as well as Barco Clickshare technologies. The candidate will be available to assist in setting up meetings and resolve any audio-visual issues.

• Provide application and hardware support for the Chicago facility and remote sites (when needed), which includes both Windows 10E (90%) and Mac O/S computers. In addition, support of Research & Development lab computer equipment will be required.

• Provide IT Help Desk remote support for the local site as well as the other Monosol facilities, as required.

• Works closely with the Associate Director of IT Services on assigned technical projects and to provide additional support as necessary.

Timely response is required to the wide range of questions and/or problems via e-mail, Help Desk tickets, and telephone. Requires excellent time management skills and attention to detail. A high level of technical and analytical skills is required to conceptualize and solve hardware and software issues. This requires staying current in the Audio-Visual, Windows, MAC OS operating system field. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the field of IT.
• Working knowledge of Teams room appliances, Barco Clickshare hardware, wired and wireless microphones, and iPhone cell phones configuration and support.
• Minimum 2 or more year’s experience supporting Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 11 (preferably TCP/IP based networks) and MAC OSX.
• Knowledge of wide range of software: e.g. O365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), OneDrive, and BOX.
• Knowledge of general networking, print server and printer support, cabling and connecting of equipment.
• Strong investigative skills to diagnose complex, non-intuitive technical problems required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to solve technical problems under pressure required.
• Customer service driven focus with excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Physical ability to move computer equipment and to maneuver under and around furniture to install/verify computer/network connections.
