Monogram Food Solutions has an opportunity for the new position of Regional Environmental Manager. This role will report
to the Director of Environmental Compliance and have governance responsibility for monitoring and ensuring the proper
management of all environmental compliance functions for an assigned grouping of plants, including potential realignments
and acquisitions. This position will require some travel with regular interaction with plant staff and responsibility for the
environmental compliance of plants under their control.
This position will provide oversight of the environmental programs and policies to ensure each plant is operating to standard
while ensuring compliance with Monogram procedures as well as Federal, State and local laws and regulations. This is a
dynamic role that will partner with local EHS staff at each plant as well as facility operations leadership teams and Corporate
support teams to provide direction on environmental compliance as it relates to regulatory and permit requirements.
The successful candidate will be experienced in multiple areas of environmental compliance, such as industrial wastewater, air
permitting, waste management, among others. As a subject matter expert, this position will interact with contractors,
consultants, and government agencies as needed to ensure environmental compliance, which may require developing scopes
of work, attendance at meetings, writing of position statements, or response submissions to regulatory agencies as well as
providing technical support and expertise in such discussions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with local EHS staff to direct site-specific environmental programs for an assigned grouping of plants to
ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations such as RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, etc.
Governance and oversight of all aspects of environmental compliance tasks for each plant by supporting the local EHS
staff’s permitting, sampling, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
Provides leadership for environmental projects for the plants under their control.
Oversee the local use of EHS tracking systems for maintaining records and provide reporting data to Corporate as
requested.
Subject matter expert for environmental regulations and works with contractors, consultants, and government
agencies as needed to maintain compliance during routine operations, special projects, or other activities that may
impact operations.
Availability as necessary in technical reciprocal partnership with other Monogram facilities.
Be a contributor with core Support Center team members to drive continuous improvement and development of
existing and new Monogram corporate environmental policies and initiatives.
In partnership with site EHS resources, ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local environmental
regulatory regulations as well as internal Monogram requirements.
Promotes an atmosphere of compliance development and implementation of environmental policies and procedure
Auditing of facilities against regulations, permit conditions, and Monogram programs including coordination of anyfollow up corrective action and planning with operations.
Provides leadership and guidance to plant EHS team members to ensure their sustained energy and engagement for
career growth and success within the Monogram organization, including tools for skills and career growth.
Provides a level of technical knowledge and training to empower local EHS staff to maintain compliance with all permits
and environmental plans throughout assigned plants.
Supports local EHS resources with promoting strategies and initiatives to lead site sustainability efforts.
Provides leadership and support for team-based environmental steering teams.
Promotes a culture of inclusion of all team members in environmental activities and priorities.
Provides participation and assistance with Process Safety Management compliance and sustainment for assigned
plants with PSM processes.
Provides leadership in identifying, implementing, and measuring ESG sustainment opportunities.
Provides facilitation for the successful implementation of environmental recordkeeping as needed.
Maintains a visible presence at assigned plants when present at those sites, providing assistance, coaching, and
feedback to EHS team members and site operations.
Audits facilities to identify and mitigate environmental conditions of concern.
Analyzes environmental incidents and statistics to ensure necessary corrective actions and preventive measures have
been determined and implemented.
