OverviewMonDay is a community based correctional facility that provides a secure treatment environment for probationable felony offenders. MonDay challenges offenders to modify their behavior to become responsible citizens by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral programming.Job Skills / RequirementsGrants and Budgets:
• Assists in the development of grants, budgets, contracts, and resolutions.
• Monitors grants, budgets and contracts to conform to policies and procedures, funding source requirements and other regulations.
• Assists in the development of accounting procedures and fiscal policies and procedures.
• Makes cost calculations and analysis for fiscal control.
• Monitors internal records to ensure reconciliation to Montgomery County reports.
• Assists in biennial financial audits.
Operational Duties:
• Residents’ Account, Work Release Account and Benevolent Account - Records revenue and expenditures.
• Prepares checks or other disbursements.
• Prepares and deposits funds.
• Reconciles grant fund accounts and bank accounts monthly.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and maintain files.
• Process requests for phone cards, court costs and child support payments, birth certificates, State ID’s etc.
• Assists in the documentation process that is necessary for meeting accreditation requirements.
• Purchasing - Identifies vendors, obtains prices, and orders products and services. Assists in the development of appropriations.
o Prepares and monitors Purchase Orders and encumbrances.
o Processes invoices for payment.
o Processes travel requests.
o Assists in maintaining and taking the fixed asset inventory.
Other:
• Consults on and assists in computing and compiling various information as needed for special projects.
• Prepares financial and budgetary reports, statements, and other statistical operational reports.
• Communicates regularly and in a timely manner with the Supervisor for purposes of supervision, problem solving and job development.
• Sells meal tickets and collects miscellaneous donations that may be received on behalf of MonDay’s Benevolent Account, and assures the security of the funds.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years experience, Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience preferred; in cash handling, account payable, or general ledger functions desired.
• Combined college education and experience in cash handling, accounts payable, or general ledge functions to equal six years required.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and word processing computer programs: Excel, Microsoft Word and Quicken desired. Also to become proficient in using the Resident's Account Software (Banker).
• KNowledge of accounting office practices and procedures; budgeting, checking account balancing, bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, inventory.
• Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to read and write routine reports, statistical information (i.e. punctuation, grammar and spelling at a level normally acquired through the completion of a degree program).
• Interpersonal communication skills requiring professional courtesy and tact are necessary to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, social services, vendors, criminal justice agencies, as well as the general public.
• Possession of a valid Ohio driver's license.

2. This is a minimum security facility, therefore all outside access doors are locked at all times.
