This is an Office-based Position 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday
Our ideal Home Health Hospice Scheduler : will be enthusiastic about working with a wide variety of clients across the medical spectrum and comfortable working in a smaller, busy office environment and comfortable being on the phone a lot, working with our social workers, therapists and chaplains and managing their schedules. Any experience with hospice or previous healthcare scheduling a huge plus, but more important than anything else, this person must be a take charge, independent worker with a great attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate patient record data in Home Care Home Base EMR system
- Run scheduling reports and follow up on issues.
- Notifies Executive Director / Team Director or designee as needed when documentation is deliquent from staff.
- Assists with checking and follow up for billing frequencies every billing period.
- Assists with maintaing office and medical supply inventory.
- Maintains ongoing scheduling of patients visits.
- Perform general office duties including but not limited to, answering telephones, greeting visitors, and handling incoming/outgoing mail.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of home health / hospice scheduling experience.
- Two (2 ) years general office experience with one (1 ) of those years having experience data entry or word processing functions.
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Strong computer / data entry and software skills.
Preferred:
- 2 years home health / hospice experience
- Knowledge of HomeCare HomeBase EMR system.
