Moises Bakery Hallandale in Hallandale Beach, FL, is looking for one sous chef to join our 15 people strong team. We are located at 115 E Hallandale Beach Blvd Moises Bakery. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the executive chef to achieve the kitchen goals
- Create new dishes and menus per business needs
- Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
- Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards
- Assist in providing preparations to the production team and line cooks
Qualifications
- Experience working as a sous chef or chef
- High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
- Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
- Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
- Able to operate a bakery oven, fryer, grill, and gas stove stations
- Previous experience in Venezuelan or Hispanic food preparations is a plus.
