Production Assistant Manager - Battery Systems (Ellabell, GA)

SUMMARY

The Production Assistant Manager oversees the productivity and safety operation of assembly lines, planning and managing short and long-term objectives for assembly production and providing capacity and labor planning. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) in producing vehicle battery systems on highly automated assembly lines and/or manual assembly lines (two positions available).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform within this position successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage daily operations through KPI, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets.
• Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
• Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
• Coordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve division goals in productivity improvements, quality improvements, and safety goals
• Coach and mentor on standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
• Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper implementation of improvement methods
• Provide conflict resolution for and coach team members
• Ensure departmental compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Initiate reporting systems to monitor department performance
• Maintain personnel headcount according to the business plan
• Conduct annual evaluations (MBO) of supervisory personnel
• Follow and promote safety in the workplace, including attendance at safety meetings as well as conducting safety meetings when necessary

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.

Desired Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Engineering, Operations, Business, etc)
• 5 years of management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Working Conditions:

• Incumbent works 8 to 10-hour shifts with occasional weekend assignments
• The employee may need to move around the production floor frequently
• Overtime may be required as needed
