Mobis Parts America, LLC is Hiring a Regional Human Resources Manager (Employee Relations) Near Fountain Valley, CA

Hyundai MOBIS Parts America, a Tier 1 parts and accessory supplier to Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager with a focus on Organizational Management and Leadership.

The Employee Relations/Strategic Planning Manager plays a vital role in our organization by overseeing company-wide Employee Relations ("ER") programs, investigating employee complaints, and staying up-to-date on relevant state and federal HR, Payroll, Worker's Compensation, Safety, Security, and employee best practice regulations.

This role also involves managing HR field representatives at all our warehouse locations, collaborating with the HR Planning and Organization Management teams, and working closely with the Workers' Compensation, Safety, and Security departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent; a combination of work experience and education will be considered. Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • 7 to 15 years of progressive experience in HR, Employee relations field
  • Experience in job analysis, Employee Relations and HR consulting.
  • Knowledge of HR planning, analysis, and consulting.
  • Experience with multi-state programs and relevant certifications
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, Budgeting, Payroll Systems, SAP and related software.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Influence and Change Management; guide changes in the organization
  • PHR Certification is preferred.

Role Responsibilities

  • Investigate employees’ complaints and prepare disciplinary Action Notice ("DAN") based on the result of investigation and monitor federal/state laws/regulations and HR operation standards. Partner with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues through coaching, counseling, investigations and conflict resolution. Understand and administer federal/state laws relating to HR, Payroll and employee practice and maintain relevant HR Policies - 30%
  • Manage Company-wide ER Programs; Listen to VOC of employees and create, modify and/or administer ER programs. – 20%
  • Manage HR Field Representatives’ activities and performance at all PDCs with PDC manager(s) – 20%
  • Facilitate compliance and regulatory matters such as: Employee Relations, Audits, US government Reporting and responding to external agencies - 10%
  • Cross-training within the department – 10%
  • Learn Workers compensation/Safety/Security policies, procedures and responsibilities to be prepared to backup WC/safety/security desk at any time as needed
  • Train workers compensation/safety/security desk what Employee Relation and ER Strategic planning Business Partner does so workers compensation administrator could backup this position at any time as needed
  • Learn HR Planning/Organization management policies, procedures and responsibilities to be prepared to backup HR Planning/Organization management desk at any time as needed
  • Train HR Planning/Organization management desk what Employee Relation and ER Strategic planning Business Partner does so HR Planning/Organization management desk could backup this position at any time as needed
  • Work with all other Human Resources department employees to develop annual company goals - 10%

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • Hybrid Work Schedule, 2 days remote / 2-3 days in-office
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Business travel is required by land and/or air. (Up to 30%)

Compensation - Annual Salary , $82,680.77 - 121,954.00
