Missouri S&T is Hiring a CARE MANAGER Near Rolla, MO

Assists students in meeting a variety of needs as they navigate their college experience by addressing barriers to wellbeing, academic progress, and student success. Provides direct service, connection to resources, and follow- up to support the success and well-being of the individual student while balancing the health, safety, and welfare needs of the campus community.

This position is non-clinical in nature. Duties also include occasional workday and after-hours on-call consultation/crisis intervention and serving as a resource to various constituencies on campus to support student success and well-being.

Job Duties

  • Provide triage, care management, brief intervention, behavioral and extended intervention support, screening, and referral services for specialized or longer-term care.
  • Assist with crisis management, critical incident support, and response.
  • Engage in high-level decision-making and collaboration across a continuum of care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate case management documentation in a data management system.
  • Contribute as a member of Student Support Services and health and wellbeing partners to meet the holistic needs of students and to cultivate a continuum and culture of care on campus.
  • Assist with predictive analytics for student success and retention initiatives.
  • Follow campus, federal, and state policies related to role and privacy laws.
  • Respond to after-hours or weekend emergencies on a limited basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work or psychology
  • Two plus years of post-degree experience with case management, social work, or related field
  • Clinical and behavioral intervention experience
  • Higher education experience
  • Awareness of issues affecting today's students and high-risk populations in higher education
  • Experience (typically 2 years) managing situations and engaging with individuals who are experiencing distress with complex factors, traits, or tendencies
  • Experience making risk and behavioral assessments using evidence-based methodologies
