About us:

Miss Lippe's is a dumpling business based in Monterey. We sell frozen dumplings at various farmers' markets and Elroys. We participate in popup events to serve hot foods at festivals and other private venues. Finally, we host dumpling-making parties to share the joy of dumplings with the community. The last year has provided a lot of growth for the business and we are ready to start hiring a larger team. We pride ourselves on a high quality product with unique fillings.

The Opportunity:

Miss Lippe’s is looking for a Sales Associate to work at farmers markets and pop up events. We sell a frozen product that many customers are unfamiliar with, so we need help drawing people to the tent to try samples and get them invested in the product and come back week after week. We are looking to expand to more markets and need someone who can potentially run the whole thing from open to close. The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, executing cash wrap operations, and helping maintain an upbeat market environment. This is an entry level opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and inviting manner
• Help customers with product selection and make recommendations
• Maintain product displays and hand out samples
• Process sales with accuracy and speed
• Assist with setting up and breaking down tent

Desired Qualifications:

• Interest in food and local markets
• Love of dumplings
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves:

• Previous food or sales experience
• Familiarity with a Point-of-Sale (POS) system
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Possess creative and organizational skills
• Flexibility in weekend, overnight, and evening shifts
