About us:

Miss Lippe's is a dumpling business based in Monterey. We sell frozen dumplings at various farmers' markets and Elroys. We participate in popup events to serve hot foods, anticipating being a part of Cali Roots again this year! Finally, we host dumpling-making parties to share the joy of dumplings with the community. The last year has provided a lot of growth for the business and we are ready to start hiring a larger team.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented Kitchen and Food Prep Assistant to join our team, 10-20 hours per week, with mid-level experience in aiding in the production of dumplings. This position requires an organized and reliable individual with interpersonal and communication skills who is dedicated to providing the highest quality customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process incoming vegetables and maintain inventory
• Prepare all ingredients to make the dumpling fillings
• Prepare dumpling dough and roll and cut to specifications
• Clean work surfaces areas, equipment and utensils, and shared workspace floors and sinks.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a kitchen and food prep assistant or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene protocols
• Ability to lift and transport heavy items
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service
• Knowledge of good stock rotation methods
• Knowledge of nutritional information for dishes
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Adeptness in using kitchen appliances and equipment properly
