- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in all food preparation and handling processes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management for ingredient replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or special requests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or catering setting
- In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including rolling, cutting, and presentation
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle raw fish with precision
- Creativity in developing new sushi recipes and flavor combinations
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and interact with customers
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
