Currently, MPG is seeking to hire experienced Plant Operations Managers (Night Shift) for our locations in the RTP area of North Carolina. If you possess the required skills and experience as outlined below, please submit your resume for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and direct the work activities of indirect reports, ensuring that client expectations are met by monitoring quality and productivity
• Enforce a safe working environment by complying to all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Act as a technical resource for the team and leading compliance with required operational best practices

• Implement short- and long-range goals and operational plans to achieve designated site objectives, while maintaining or increasing overall site's efficiency
• Ensure necessary resources, i.e. staffing, training and equipment, are available to meet prescribed productivity and continuous improvement goals.

• Responsible for performance, development, and coaching of people, including providing training to new/existing employees, and ensuring that staff is educated regarding appropriate client processes
• Administer and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently
• Work in conjunction with Human Resources and operations management to maintain a positive employee relations environment
• Maintain a positive employee relations environment
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding assigned operations
• Utilize reports to manage charge assignments, work rates, and other productivity measures; Analyze and summarize various performance metrics including, but not limited to, volumes, job requests, and performance metrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma
• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology, business, or engineering preferred, but not required

• At least five - ten years' experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment serving in a mid to senior leadership role

• Lean Six Sigma Certified (Black Belt preferred) and/or proven track record of implementing 5S methodology in a manufacturing setting
• Novice to expert understanding of quality standards, including ISO 9001

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software
• Ability to work 12-hours shifts (7pm - 7am) and overtime as needed, on a 2-2-3-2 two-week rotation
• Ability to stand on feet for up to twelve-hour shift
• Ability to communicate effectively in English - both verbally and written. Ability to communicate in Spanish (both verbally and written) is beneficial, but not required.
