Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work standing or walking for most working shifts.
• Perform very physical duties, including but not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, and walking.
• Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies, effectively communicating deviations from standards or processes.
• Maintain a clear understanding of customer requirements.
• Create a positive working environment for all associates: one that promotes continuous improvement, reinforces company philosophy and policies, and ensures that every individual is treated with respect.
• Adhere to all regulatory rules and regulations, ensuring that Food Safety and product performance standards are met.
• Monitor HACCP critical control points.
• Run GMP Inspections.
• Calibrate test equipment such as scales, thermometers, metal detector, pH meter and colorimeter.
• Control the concentrations of the chemicals and sanitizers.
• Perform daily Pre-operational inspections and Pre-op ATP testing.
• Conduct leak detecting checks for each type of polybag.
• Test finished products moisture content.
• Perform temperature controls.
• Perform metal detector controls.
• Monitor allergen management.
• Check finished products from previous date for any defects. Follow the corrective actions based on the outcome of the inspection.
• Schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratory vendor.
• Assist in training employees on Food Safety, company processes and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities.
• Develop and maintain operational quality standards, traceability, batch sheets and specification sheets.
• Perform raw material inspections and follow the corrective actions based on the outcome of the inspection.
• Label finished products with the expiration date.
• Check finished product packaging labels.

Skills: 

• Recommended to have quality experience in a fresh food manufacturing environment
• Food Safety Skills: GMP’s, HACCP, CCP
• Demonstrate experience with internal quality inspections and audits
• Maintain a positive work environment
• Must be willing to work designated shifts
• Ability to work in cold environment (below 40°F)
