A growing Dermatology practice, looking for a highly technologically savvy medical assistant. We are a fast-paced office, providing top quality patient care. Certifications are not required, but welcome RMA, CMA, CNA, Phlebotomy, as well as CDT. Midtown Dermatology offers on the job training specific to our specialty, schedule flexibility, and an array of benefits for full time employees. Candidates will verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of visit. Our Medical Assistants work hands on with patients to not only prepare them for upcoming examinations but also by explaining wound care, post procedure treatment and gather preliminary information such as weight, and temperature as needed. The desired candidate must be able to assist in surgical procedures. Articulate speech and demonstration of empathy for all patients is a MUST when providing instructions and clearly discussing results with patients, while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Demonstration of top-notch organization skills, attention to detail and team player abilities are a MUST! Bilingual preferred, but not required. Candidates must be physically able to lift 20 pounds if needed, stock supplies, and sterilize exam rooms. This candidate should have a “go getter” attitude. We seek a positive and focused addition to our team. Upper-level computer skills, typing, and IPAD familiarity required.
