Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems is Hiring an Accounts Payable Manager Near Clinton, MD
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and direct the daily operations of the department remotely
- Perform regular analysis to ensure efficient vendor payment processing while maximizing working capital/liquidity and optimizing vendor relationships.
- Maintain A/P procedures compliant with company policies, legal regulations, and accounting best practices
- Analyze, resolve, and respond to inquiries presented by internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Corporate card program administration
- Collaborate with Assistant Controller and Controller
- W-9 and 1099 Management
- Provide departmental operational analyses and feedback for improved efficiencies
- Maintain daily operating account banking functions
- Develop, train, and oversee the payables team
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive work experience with 5 years in accounting.
- 5-7 years of management experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail & accuracy.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Perform accurately in a fast-paced, goal-based environment, and ability to adapt to a growing business
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
