POSITION SUMMARY:
The School of Business Leadership in the College of Arts and Sciences at Mid-America Christian University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach the following subjects:
Accounting
Business Administration
Business Law
Economics
Entrepreneurship
Finance
Healthcare Management
Management
Marketing
Sports Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses as assigned by the Chair of the School of Business Leadership and/or particular Program Director
Provide quality instruction by following the course syllabus, grading assignments, and tracking attendance.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on course assignments and strategies for success.
Respond and effectively communicate with the Chair and/or Program Director on a regular basis.
Available to teach courses in the timeslots needed to support the goals of the University.
Utilize current technologies and incorporate current topics as they relate to course materials.
Support the mission and goals of the University.
Other pertinent duties as assigned by the Chair and/or Program Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent communication, both oral and written and organizational skills necessary for the position.
Must possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals and groups.
Must be flexible in scheduling, which may include some evenings.
(Preferred) Experience in various teaching delivery formats.
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in the subject or a related discipline (minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the
area being taught).
Subject matter expertise.
Effective teaching skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Experience with interactive computer programs (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet)
Canvas or classroom management software experience preferred. Training will be provided if needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
