Position Summary: The General Manager of Aerospace is responsible for oversight of all aspects of customer service and proposal generation, warehouse operations, production and manufacturing operations and quality certifications in a friendly, fast-paced team environment. This position will work closely with local and national sales groups to close new sales opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Primary Duties:

• Support the enterprise with aerospace and defense manufacturing, distribution, and product expertise
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute market strategies to drive growth in the aerospace market
• Ability to clearly articulate the value proposition that MFCP delivers to aerospace and/or defense markets to help close sales opportunities
• Oversee AS9100 certifications and all applicable activities within the location (audits, continual improvement, process development, etc.)
• Hire and manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all direct reports
• Manage margins and costs to achieve net profitability goals
• Ensure that the highest level of customer service and ethics are followed
• Provide user support and solutions for our ERP system (Prophet 21)
• Report business progress, identify needs and concerns to executive team and participate in leadership meetings
• Generate and maintain accurate required documentation, including estimates, proposals, product inspection, etc.
• Address and resolve all customer requests and/or complaints utilizing a positive, creative approach
• Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
• Promote employee teamwork and motivation, including employee recognition
• Conduct Annual performance reviews, maintain appropriate personnel records
• Address and resolve personnel issues
• Develop ideas that help MFCP improve customer service, systems and procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures
• Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be over the age of 18.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience in Aerospace and/or Defense manufacturing environments in either production or sales oversight capacities
• Experience with implementation and management of the AS9100 Quality Management Standard
• Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
• Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus
• Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner who can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented
• Experience with industrial distribution, preferably fluid power components preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers. Salary:

$90,000-$140,000/yearly. Commensurate with skills and experience.
