Director of Marketing — Blue Springs, MO

Meyer Laboratory is seeking a self-directed, highly motivated, and accomplished individual to join our Meyer family as our Director of Marketing. The Director of Marketing will oversee the strategic marketing plans to enhance our brand presence, penetrate new markets and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Director of Marketing will lead our marketing efforts, be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to enhance our brand presence, penetrate new markets, and drive revenue growth. The Director of Marketing will collaborate closely with sales, R&D, and operations to ensure our marketing strategies are aligned with the company’s goals and market needs.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Lead market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services, and coordinate with the business development and sales teams.
  • Spearhead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and online advertising.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing and promotional materials, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and communicate our value proposition effectively.
  • Identify trade shows and associations and development marketing materials and booths to target customer prospects.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across projects for projects for maximum impact.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, adjusting marketing strategy as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry influencers, key strategic partners, and customers.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand the marketing department to support the company’s growth.
  • Report on marketing campaign performance and insights to senior management, providing recommendations for improvement.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience in sales and/or service industries, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms.
  • High performance people leader and problem solver that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.

  • Travel will be minimal and specifically related to key business needs.
  • Desk and computer work required.
  • Lifting required up to 50 lbs.
