Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight:

   • Oversee the operation of software and services within the Traffic Front End and Coordination teams.
   • Ensure seamless functionality, uptime, and performance.

2. Networking and Traffic Expertise:

   • Leverage your deep understanding of networking, routing, and traffic patterns to optimize system performance.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network reliability.

3. Service Discovery and Cloud Infrastructure:

   • Apply your expertise in service discovery and distributed services to improve system scalability.
   • Optimize cloud infrastructure components for efficient traffic handling.

4. Monitoring and Incident Response:

   • Develop robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
   • Lead incident response efforts during critical incidents.

5. Reliability Engineering Advocacy:

   • Champion best practices in reliability engineering across the organization.
   • Collaborate with other teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in site reliability engineering or related roles.
• Expertise in relevant technologies, including:
  • CDN operations
  • Containerization
  • Incident management
  • Traffic routing
  • Distributed systems
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Perl, Go).
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration at scale.
