Salary Range (Grade E/534): $87,951 (Min) - $124,834 (Max)
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the procurement and contract administration process for the purchase of 25 Diesel-Battery (Hybrid) Locomotives, which includes an option to purchase up to an additional 45 Locomotives, as well as administration for other specialized Work Car projects within the NYCT System. Tasks include the preparation and review of all contract specifications, submittals, data analyses, drawings, equipment, and test reports to satisfy user department requirements for safe, reliable, and efficient operating equipment. Contract administration duties include conducting progress meetings, reviewing payment requests, reviewing cost and no-cost change orders, program budget management, warranty administration, and contract close-out. Additional duties include investigating opportunities for reducing long-term maintenance and operating costs.
Education and Experience:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college inEngineeringor a related field and seven(7) years of satisfactory related experience, andthree (3) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity, OR
Asatisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
