Award Winning Client is seeking a skilled Director of Surgical Services to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite position with paid relocation available. Award Winning Client has garnered numerous accolades and operates nationally.

General Summary of Duties: The Director of Surgical Services will oversee all aspects of surgical operations, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Supervisor: Chief Nursing Officer

Supervises: Surgical services staff

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Develop and implement budgeting processes to ensure sound fiscal operation, including annual revenue, personnel, operations, and capital expense budgets.
• Provide effective leadership and management of human resources, including staff education, performance management, and recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Foster positive relationships with medical staff, facilitating communication and engaging physicians and staff in strategic initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, and actively participate in quality, risk management, and safety activities.
• Promote effective communication, collaboration, and a non-discriminatory climate within the department and organization.
• Contribute to strategic service line development, including marketing initiatives, community engagement, and identifying growth opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledgeable in the care and handling of patient populations served.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make clear, decisive decisions.

Education:

• Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in related clinical practice.
• 2 years in a clinical leadership role preferred.

Certificate/License:

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.
