STARTING RATE: $17.00MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 18 years old JOB SUMMARY: Reconcile daily summary of all transactions. Provide a friendly welcoming liaison between guests and the company to exchange information and accommodate lodging transactions. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 6 months previous hotel and/or hotel management experience required. Quality control, customer relations and ability to follow procedures required. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions required. Basic accounting and computer skills required. Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensure all work is completed according to established standards. 2. Maintain all aspects of hotel preparatory to occupancy. 3. Reconcile all hotel transactions daily. 4. Maintain high level of communication with all areas of management and other departments. 5. Understand, comply with and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures, job descriptions, OSHA regulations and standards and other written and verbal instructions. 6. Other job related duties as assigned or instructed by management. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS: Apologize for long lines when appropriate. Use guest name at least twice during each encounter. Offer detailed directions or maps. Advise guests of all points of interest within the company and surrounding areas, making reservations as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Extensive time spent sitting and standing. There may be some walking; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. The work area is indoors. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
