POSITION SUMMARY:
Collect, organize, summarize, write, and revise extensive, complex technical information in a dear, concise manner for various audiences, assisting in the preparation of developed materials for reports, articles, manuals, specifications, presentation materials, illustrations and other technical and non- technical documents and publications. The incumbent will work closely with internal scientific support and R&O staff to compile content for product marketing brochures and develop product inserts.
DUTJES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage all releases and changes to product inserts and labels
* Coordinate website updates
* Provide content for written sales tools (brochures, handouts, etc.)
* Manage several projects at various stages
* Assemble marketing publications -various brochures
* Produce e-newsletter and email campaigns
* Produce and upload content to various websites, blogs, and online learning platforms
* Proofread marketing materials, client proposals, training materials, and other documents
* Use online toots to build marketing lists
* Coordinate mailings, including database management, printing, proofreading, etc.
* Produce error-free reports, client deliverables, presentations, and other deliverables including proofreading, layout, and production
* Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in biology or related scientific discipline o Degree in Technical Writing a plus
* Minimum 5 years of experience producing technical writing content
* Hands-on laboratory experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Knowledge of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries
* Ability to interface with the Kit Manufacturing, Customer Service, Internal Scientific Support, Creative Team and R&D
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects is extremely important
* Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
o Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines and document accuracy
* The ability to write, edit, and proofread at an extremely high level is important
* Proficient with MSOffice Suite
* Critical eye for marketing material aesthetics and content layout
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected including the ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding sales/marketing environment with changing priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is performed in a traditional office environment.
