Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the products they are looking for
- Provide product knowledge and information to customers
- Operate the cash register and POS system to process sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and merchandise displays
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Utilize effective sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell products
- Meet or exceed sales goals on a regular basis
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of jewelry sales is a plus
- Fluency in multiple languages is an asset for serving diverse customer base
- Technical sales experience is beneficial
