**Description**

The Customer Service Representative provides outstanding customer service in a friendly team-oriented office environment to serve as the liaison between the sales, purchasing, warehouse staff and the customer.

***Responsibilities:***

* Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals.

* Enter customer orders with specific attention to details in IBM AS400 database system.

* Conducts all functions, duties and responsibilities in a professional manner with a positive attitude and demeanor.

* Investigate customer inquiries to a successful resolution.

* Maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.

* Function as a liaison between departments in the company to address customer needs.

* Expediting orders as required.

* Receives orders and resolves pricing situations encountered during customer transactions using current sales policies.

* Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and errors. This includes obtaining proof of deliveries from the freight carrier and pulling necessary internal documents

* Other duties as assigned.

***Requirements:***

* High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.

* AS400 experience is a plus.

* Ability to effectively work in a Windows environment with experience in Outlook, Word and Excel.

* Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment with a positive and proactive attitude while maintaining a high degree of energy, reliability, and organizational skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Problem solver with the ability to multi-task using judgment and decision-making skills.

* Excellent detail-oriented customer service skills.

* Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Critical thinking. The ability to spot a potential issue based on your experience

* Time management and workload prioritization.
