The Finance Operations Manager will manage and coordinate the annual budgeting process for all contracts and grants. Responsibility includes the fund management and tracking for public grants as well as private foundation/grant dollars including submission, administration, expense allocation and reporting regarding contract documents for city, county, state, and federal agencies, and ensuring performance reports are submitted to federal agencies, private and corporate funders. Establishes and maintains financial management practices in compliance with federal guidelines. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Pay: $70,560-88,200/salary DOE

Duties:

• Analyze restricted grants portfolio make recommendations and facilitate/drive change and process improvements.
• Reviews grant funding utilization to identify areas where grant funding could be maximized. Coordinates with Grants Accounting and programs to implement funding plans and/or draft budget revisions requests to funding agencies.
• Acts as Project Leader to coordinate efforts between Grant Accounting and Programs. Reviews new funding awards, renewals, and amendments, funder monitoring reviews, completing grant progress reports, and budget processes.
• Work with program management staff, internal, and external parties to ensure each program is meeting proposal/contractual conditions and expectations.
• Work with program management and staff, internal, and external parties to ensure each program is aligned along agency Key Performance Indicators and established continuous process improvement guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three (3) years’ experience in managing government grants and contracts at a locate, state, and federal level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Public or industry accounting experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Make independent decisions and to work unsupervised for weeks at a time.
• Collaborate when appropriate with coworkers, other departments, and outside.
• Maintain external relationships within and outside of the organization.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications.
• Willing and able to assist senior management with special projects.
