Purpose
Acts as the first point of contact for district either in person, by telephone or mail. Provides administrative support for administration building and Learning and Technology Services Department.
Essential Functions
Greet visitors, assist staff, students, parents and community members in person or on the phone.
Assist visitors and staff with obtaining information pertaining to the district.
Direct all general telephone calls to the appropriate staff.
Provide general information about district to the public.
Distribute and process all internal and external mail.
Coordinate meeting room use.
Support with professional development calendaring, meal ordering, etc.
Coordinate with the directors and coordinators in Learning and Technology Services.
Administrative support to Learning and Technology Services staff.
Keep office machines functioning and supplied.
Obtain office supplies for staff.
Coordinate orders for materials.
Secretary to committees and groups as assigned by Learning Services Directors.
Support the Learning and Technology Services Department with publishing both print and digital materials as directed.
Provide direct support to the Communications Coordinator
Coordinate and support the district website.
Duties directly related to purpose of job.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Adobe Suite (inclusive of InDesign, specifically), Canva, or other design platforms
Experience with video-editing
Print shop experience
Drafting and editing experience
Website development

Education and/or Experience
Associate's Degree and 1-3 years office experience, preferably in a school setting or equivalent experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common requests or complaints from public, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must have strong communications, computer and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Working knowledge of a variety of business machines. Patience in dealing with parents and small children. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing. Flexibility and the ability to work amidst many interruptions. Ability to perform duties in accordance with all district and State requirements and policies.
