Mercadien Consulting LLC is Hiring a Marketing Assistant | Part-Time Near Hamilton, NJ

Description

The Mercadien Group, a highly regarded and dynamic professional services firm, is expanding and seeks a Part-Time Marketing Assistant to join our growing team! The Marketing Assistant will support the firm’s marketing department and report to the Marketing Manager. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Event coordination and management, including:
  • Process registration and payment for Mercadien associates to attend external events, sponsorships, advertisements, exhibit booths for trade shows, donations, etc. 
  • Set up calendar appointments for such events in Outlook and maintain ongoing updates to the Marketing Events Calendar
  • Update firm marketing budget for event expenses
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding events, liaise with external organizations
  • For internal events hosted by Mercadien such as webinars or seminars: pull registration and attendee reports, prepare CPE documents for approval, summarize evaluation forms, assist with setup for in-person events, organize and save event files, etc.
  • Maintain firm marketing budget, tracking all firm marketing expenses as well as reconciling the marketing budget to the General Ledger on a monthly basis
  • Distribute individual and niche marketing budgets to leadership on a monthly basis and record any updates to the budget as needed
  • Track and process payment for membership dues renewals for the firm’s associates
  • Update the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and newsletter mailing lists with contact information and other relevant data for new and existing contacts
  • Remove unsubscribes and bounces from CRM system and newsletter mailing lists 
  • Perform data clean-up for prospective client lists
  • Assist with the coordination of client holiday gifts, including preparing the lists of recipients along with their contact information, confirming recipients with firm leadership, making updates as needed to the list, ordering gifts for International clients, as well as processing payment for client holiday gifts and tracking on marketing budget
  • Update and maintain marketing passwords list
  • Conduct research projects as requested
  • Participate in weekly Marketing Team check-ins as well as annual Marketing Retreat
  • Provide support to Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 15 - 20 hours per week, on a set schedule every week
  • Must possess superior computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and must have adequate typing abilities 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Event coordination experience preferred
  • Experience in using HubSpot or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool a plus
