Patient Engagement Representative

Summary

MedZed is re-imagining the house call. Will you innovate with us? MedZed is a fast paced, organization focused on inspiring and enabling better health. We are seeking exceptional Patient Engagement Representatives to join our team. MedZed uses technology to bring healthcare to complex, hard to reach patients. We partner with health plans and managed care organizations to allow these high-risk patients to be treated in the comfort of their homes. Our Patient Engagement Representatives are an integral part of the patient’s Enhanced Care Management team. The MedZed Patient Engagement Representative possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor. The ideal candidate is comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people. They have a tenacity to handle rejection and uphold a positive attitude when reaching out to the next potential lead. This individual is passionate about educating potential patients who could benefit from our free service, paid for by the patients’ health plan, to individuals that have complex and social needs. They are proactive in understanding the company’s services and its position in the industry. The Patient Engagement Representative is highly effective in establishing trust and can quickly form a relational foundation during the initial phone call. We are looking for an enthusiast individual who can generate the growth of our House Call 2.0 program through the enrollment of referred leads.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow the MedZed engagement process.
  • Engage in active listening with patients, confirming or clarifying information.
  • Work with management to react to ever-changing needs relating to the schedule, provider unavailability, and urgent visit needs.
  • Ask pertinent questions to understand the patient’s requirements.
  • Read from appropriate scripts.
  • Maintain and utilize database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective patient information.
  • Achieve a daily calling goal of 50-80 cold calls to referred leads.
  • Increase the active patient panel by scheduling 4-6 new appointments per day.
  • Follow up on scheduled appointments that did not complete or were cancelled.
  • Partner with the clinical team to engage patients.
  • Persuade the patients to enroll by demonstrating how our services meet their needs.
  • Call patients to confirm, schedule, cancel, and reschedule visits as necessary.
  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed departmental metrics while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications


Qualifications and Values

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and results-oriented
  • 1-2 years of experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • 1-2 years of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and
  • CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
