Summary: As a part of this position, you will be responsible for design, maintenance, enhancement, communication, and governance for Cloud architectures. Responsible for developing and reviewing key cloud architecture deliverables, technical roadmaps and architecture models for cloud solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

•  Design, build , deploy and maintain business applications and critical infrastructure inside the AWS Cloud.
•  Develop skills and expertise to help design and build advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate existing workloads to the cloud
•  Participate in architecture definition for Cloud Initiatives utilizing industry best practices and technologies
•  Develop and implement ways to move apps and workloads to the cloud
•  Research and propose solutions for AWS data transformation, data connections, operational frameworks, and application integration.
•  Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns
•  Maintain hands-on knowledge of and current best practices for standards-based technologies 
• Must possess a proactive mindset, demonstrating the ability to engage in continuous self-study, in-depth research, and innovative prototyping, ensuring you remain at the forefront of industry trends and advancements
•  Ensure code quality and maintainability 
•  Adheres to standard Agile development practices 
•  Apply strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using sound judgement for all assigned tasks 
•  Ensures that all development efforts are code reviewed and aligned with company development best practices 
•  Work with the team to create an inspirational and creative work environment

Education/Experience: 

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related area. 
•  AWS Cloud certification
•  Some experience in the following areas: 
•  Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture
•  Familiarity working with large systems
•  Strong programing skills with experience in API development
•  Thorough understanding of ML, data analysis, data visualization and event driven architecture

Language Ability: 

Strong interpersonal communication skills are required. The successful candidate/employee will be required to use written and oral communication skills. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondences, and memos is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents. Strong technical writing and documentation skills are required. 

Math Ability: 

This position requires advanced math skills such as algebra, linear algebra, calculus and statistics as they relate to the field of AI.

Reasoning Ability: 

The position requires exceptional analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box. Must be organized and detail oriented. Strong planning and coordination skills are required. The ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges is required. The ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems is needed. 

Computer Skills: 

Strong personal computer literacy is required, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and other appropriate software.

Physical Demands: 

This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also be extensive lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required.
