Position Summary The Dispatcher is responsible for answering incoming calls from members inquiring about their scheduled transportation. The Dispatcher will analyze trips, ensure a driver is available, and provide an estimated arrival time. If the Dispatcher determines a Driver is not available, they will assess whether the member is eligible for Lyft/Uber and if so, request via portal, a Lyft/Uber vehicle. If a member is not eligible, The Dispatcher will work with Lead Dispatchers to cover the trip. Shift Needs & Pay CANDIDATES MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY ADDRESSED BELOW Shifts vary Monday thru Sunday availability (you'll be scheduled for 5, 8hr days) shift could start as early as 7am and end as late as 10pm. Pay is $16/hr, position is 100% ONSITE This job operates in a professional office environment May be subject to adverse weather conditions during times of travel Essential Functions Work closely with Lead Dispatchers to provide trip updates and estimated time of arrival Assist with Driver Assignments Maintain effective communication with members and Dispatch if Uber/Lyft is unavailable Provide excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries and concerns Keep members informed about the status of their Uber/Lyft and verify all information before disconnecting Ensure that all transportation operations comply with Lyft/Uber procedures and eligibility Collaborate with Dispatch/Supervisor if passengers experiencing issues or have grievances Establish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers Provide feedback to leadership and Fleet Management on transportation providers' performance Practice and follow all compliance guidelines Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including weather-related disruptions, unexpected delays, or unforeseen issues Seek opportunities to enhance transportation processes, streamline operations, and improve efficiency Ability to communicate clearly with clients, drivers, and vendors Ability to work well with others and be a team player Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
