Medical Priority Consultants Inc is Hiring a Remote Director of Technology

Summary

This position will oversee all technology functions for Priority Dispatch, supervising the Dev Core, Dev Ops, IT Operations, and Platform Integrations departments. Reporting to the President of Priority Dispatch, they will be responsible for the overall strategy, managing goals, guiding supervisors and staff, and directing projects to align with the company goals. While providing a forward-looking vision and operational direction for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide systems. This hybrid position is located in our Salt Lake City, Utah, headquarters.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, design, development and deployment of client-facing software solutions and enhancements to existing applications and/or content.
  • Analyze business requirements in the context of software and integration design
  • Provide technical and business solution processes to improve current business workflow and plan for future enhancements, and drive the strategic direction of software development, IT operations, and platform integration
  • Define the scope of the project in partnership with the Product owners, Stakeholders and the Development Directors.
  • Oversee the process of installation of software and hardware products
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network
  • Make decisions in terms of any development strategies at the technical level, publish recommendations and advise on related best practices at the business level
  • Provide recommendations and help identify best technical solutions for our Priority Dispatch
  • Develop budgets and staffing plans with department directors to build a high performance, multi-functional team with expertise necessary to achieve company objectives
  • Manage, direct, mentor and inspire department leaders to owning all elements of the employee life cycle: recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, performance reviews, personal development, etc.
  • Work with DevOps director to develop APIs, bridges, SAAS models, and other enhancements that allow our partners to share information relating to managing emergency calls for service and quality assurance activities
  • Oversee all 3rd partnerships regarding the development of software and services
  • Oversee the management of Salesforce, FinancialForce, Azure platform, Application integrations, and the integration of automated systems throughout the organizations
  • Oversee management of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) concepts
  • Lower direct costs with development infrastructure reuse; develop incentive base training program and mentor systems engineers
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualification/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Systems or related; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Managerial experience working with SalesForce Suite, Software Development, AI and IT Operations
  • Expert level knowledge of multiple operating systems and programming languages
  • Experience with enterprise-level systems integration projects
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems integration
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with FinancialForce, Azure platform, Application
  • Must have good Interpersonal, rapport-building, and negotiating skills
  • Must be an excellent analytical and communication skills: able to facilitate projects and meetings as assigned, comfortable working with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to think logically and systematically; solve complex problems; effectively apply general principles to specific conditions

Physical Requirements

  • This is a typical office job which requires the ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk with occasionally moving, standing, and walking
  • Occasionally lifting 10 – 25 pounds
  • Work environment is composed of moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
  • Occasional travel of less than 25% may be required
