POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
This is hybrid position that provides sales support for hoist sales and business development for our self-erecting crane business. The inside sales position provides support by handling information requests, prospecting new clients, organizing and maintaining paper/electronic files and providing information to potential/current construction hoist customers. The outside sales position is responsible for developing relationships with customers and growing accounts in their assigned territory through the promotion and selling of the company’s products.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
·Ensure the safety, reliability and dependability in compliance with company policies as well as OSHA regulations.
·Leverage effective phone selling skills to prospect utilizing lead database services and industry publications.
·Direct interaction and first point of contact with customers.
·Work with existing and potential customers to proactively and reactively sell products and services.
·Effectively comprehend and relay technical information.
·Coordinates selling and servicing activities with nationwide Outside Sales group and peers.
·Build relationships with customers and meet their needs in a timely manner.
·Prepare quotes and proposals for all projects and jobs within the designated territory. Pro-actively follows up on all quotes.
·Initiates order process through systems in a timely fashion.Follows up on as many orders as possible to determine customer satisfaction.Keeps track of follow up calls in the system and shares with team.
·Prepare contracts and record and close sales orders.
·Participates in major account planning process Sales Management.
·Manage credit and collection activities as needed.
·Participate in industry trade shows.
·Utilize company personnel resources to ensure successful contract execution.
·Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
·Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests.
·Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, call reports and assigned projects.
·Participate in sales department meetings.
·Participate in creation of annual sales budget and forecasting.
Requirements
·Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
·Detail oriented
·Knowledge of selling techniques which include the ability to negotiate and persuade
·Knowledge of construction equipment
·Clear communication with strong written and oral communication skills
·Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Optional Skills
·Knowledge of Net Suite
·Knowledge of CRM
·Crane background
·Construction plans
·Bluebeam or 3D lift plan
