The primary role of the Business Development Director is to develop and implement the company’s plan to maintain a good relationship with existing clients and add new clients in key market sectors.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for all aspects of business growth including client acquisition, marketing, public relations, and client/community partnerships.
Identify new business and cultivate relationships in the economic development community.
Strategize, lead, coordinate, and produce RFQ responses for company.
Respond to written RFPs, RFQs, IDIQs, and SSNs and maintain a database of information and marketing materials.
Nurture relationships with existing clients to maximize long-term client relationships.
Produce corporate marketing materials including print and digital ads and market prospectus brochures.
Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Masters or Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
4 years’ experience in development or marketing.
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in tandem with architects, technical staff, and consultants to respond to RFQs.
Understanding of procurement process for state and local government.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Word and Excel required. Proficiency in Squarespace, Lumion, and SketchUp a plus.
