Internship Overview:This internship offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of construction. As a Construction Intern at Matos Builders, you will contribute to various aspects of construction project management, estimating, and business development under the guidance of experienced professionals. This experience not only provides insight into the construction industry but also offers a comprehensive understanding of the federal contracting process.

• Internship Duration: 3 months, with the potential for extension or full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the preparation of contract documentation, including subcontract agreements, change orders, and material purchase orders.
• Assist in the organization and management of project documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.
• Contribute to the maintenance of project logs and files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Participate in weekly project meetings, preparing for and recording key discussions.
• Perform necessary data entry into the company's CRM software to ensure accurate and organized project records.
• Collaborate with other company departments, such as Estimating and Business Development, to gain a holistic understanding of the construction industry.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• Enthusiastic about the construction industry, project management, estimating, and business development.
• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to multiple facets of construction projects.
