Position Overview:
As the Chief Product Officer at Masterworks, you will report to our Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for product development and strategy based in New York City. At Masterworks, our technology team is closely integrated with our product team, with our product managers running daily standups with engineers that build features on a fast (often daily) cadence.
We are looking for a senior leader who is passionate about product with a solid understanding of technology and the development lifecycle to lead our product organization of six product managers related to:

• Onboarding: Optimizing our onboarding flow to improve LTV / CAC metrics
• Mobile app: Responsible for our mobile app (including an AppleTV app)
• Secondary market: Trading platform that allows investors to buy and sell shares of artwork securities between each other
• Investing flow: Payments, wallets, subscription agreements and other features related to processing investments
• Business analysis: A dedicated function responsible for building reporting and analyzing performance of the business and product
• Deliverability: Ensuring that all email, push, and SMS communications are getting through to investors
• Product marketing: Managing growth through communications to investors

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Management:
   1. Hands-on leadership of a 6 person product organization, fostering a fast, collaborative and high-performance culture
   2. Running daily standups: Running 2-3 daily standups with the product team
   3. Act as a hands-on product manager / visionary, working with product managers on analyzing data or brainstorming to find the next "unlocks"
2. Testing Mentality: Our culture is heavily reliant on A/B testing all new features and components of our product stack. Help product managers develop the right A/B tests (what features should be tested) and analyze results
3. Engineering Co-Management: Our product organization is responsible for running daily stand-ups with engineers and holding them accountable for feature development. In coordination with our VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring that engineers are held accountable for feature development

Requirements and Skill Sets:

• 10 years of product management experience in a high-growth start-up environment
• Passion for art, finance, or fintech business solutions
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, iterative environment responsible for feature releases on a daily basis
• Strong people management skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decisions
