POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Quality Engineering Intern is to support the Quality Engineering team in developing the Quality Management System used by MASS to control the manufacturing/business processes and assure product quality.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
• Supports Engineers in development of the procedures, process instructions, and systems necessary to assure product quality.
• Audits manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with Quality Management System documentation.
• Evaluates and proposes implementation of technology to improve Manufacturing and Quality process capability.
• Analyzes quality data to determine root-cause of non-compliant material and drive corrective actions.
• Supports Engineers in reporting on Quality Performance.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• Minitab experience preferred.
• Tableau experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION & TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
