WHY SMT?
SMT stands at the unique intersection of sports, broadcasting and technology, and that requires unique and diverse teams to provide award winning service. Our interns are able to take on a larger scope in their work and get a chance to work closely with our research and development teams. SMT is a place where we welcome employees as they are, encourage them to stay true to themselves while they grow professionally, and the same goes for our interns. SMT only hires a few interns each summer, with three specific goals:
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
The candidate chosen for this role will build and strengthen a broad array of skills, including: analytical, problem solving, and mathematical skills; understanding sports computer vision technology; increased knowledge of databases, data processing, and data interaction; programming in established frameworks and time-constrained environments; and the design of complex, dynamic software programs that are operated during live professional sporting events.
This position includes a modestly-paid internship. Depending on your schedule, we can accommodate part-time hours with a minimum of three days per week to full-time.
As you progress through the program, you will take a more generalized role on the team, depending on the skills that you have and demonstrate.
