WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
As a Prep Cook at Mariola Italian, you play a crucial role in helping the team deliver an exceptional experience to each and every guest. Your culinary training and experience, strong organizational skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail will contribute to delivering perfection on every plate that leaves the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures our guests have an excellent dining experience by correctly prepping food items.
- Preparing and cooking menu items during service, while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Understanding and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Portioning, washing, peeling, slicing and mixing ingredients for entrees, appetizers, salads and garnishes. Measures and mixes, to make dressings, sauces, salads while following recipes for hot and cold food items.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Uphold our core values of Grit Hospitality, Leadership, Integrity, and Respect in every interaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas)
