We Require
High school diploma or GED
One year of experience operating trucks and equipment
Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver's license (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety but may not specifically require a valid CDL

Job Contributions
Operate a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures
Haul materials and transport vehicles and equipment to job sites using various trucks
Perform manual labor assignments as needed
Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identify and report mechanical problems requiring additional repair
Complete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetings
Perform traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards and traffic problems
Complete daily written reports and enter information into the Cartegraph asset management system
Working Conditions
Exerting over 100 pounds occasionally, 50 - 100 pounds frequently, or up to 20 - 50 pounds constantly
Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration
Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
