Maria Alexander Professional Services LLC is Hiring a Customer Support Specialist Near Perry, OH

The Customer Support Specialist manages all sales support activities with responsibility for successfully meeting customer demand. The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for entering sales orders, collecting, and distributing information about customer inventory levels, and facilitating the activities of outside sales associates. The Customer Support Specialist will implement sales strategies, ensure training and standard work procedures are followed, monitor, and analyze sales goals, and work closely with strategic accounts.

Duties and responsibilities

Continually update customers, outside sales, and company management on status of plant workload & schedules, inventory levels, market conditions, pricing and deliveries.

  • Handle customer questions and ensure timely follow-through to provide world-class service to MidWest Material’s customers.
  • Enter sales orders from customers and outside sales representatives and manage the requirements of the orders from quotation to eventual shipment and billing.
  • Track and report on inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of finished goods to meet customer demands.
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Collect information and work with customers on any rejections or complaints. Gather sufficient information to support root cause analysis and provide recommendations to improve organizational processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Education requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Sales or customer service experience (preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferred)
  • Experience in steel industry (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and detail oriented

Working conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in office spaces and occasionally be exposed to the manufacturing area.

Physical requirements

Duties are primarily performed while sitting at a desk or computer terminal. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
