Position Overview

· Properly follow all Company, DOT and OSHA safety procedures

· Dispatch and support drivers:

o Improve truck utilization through backhauls and managing hours of service

o Handle daily fleet operations, driver questions, maintenance issues

o Effectively plan routes for drivers to ensure efficient, timely service to customers

· Review and process paperwork daily; strong data entry and electronic filing skills

· Review driver’s daily log sheet ensuring compliance with hours of service and accuracy

o Dispatcher reviews and maintains daily logs on file for 6 months for each driver.

o Dispatcher insures daily log is also filed for off duty days; weekend, holidays, vacation

· Review driver’s daily inspection reports

o Dispatcher will address service issues in a timely manner

o Dispatcher will arrange preventative maintenance service accordingly

o Assist drivers with issues that may arise, making the decision to call management or customers

o Dispatcher keeps daily inspection reports on file

· Review driver trip reports for accuracy and addressing discrepancies

· Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the manager

o Maintain reports, on time data entry, payroll, etc.

o Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports, as requested by upper management.

· Interaction with customers as necessary insuring customer satisfaction

· Schedule overflow loads with 3rd party carriers; freight brokering skills desired

· Strong computers skills and be able to work in fast-paced environment

· Must have experience dispatching flatbed drivers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
