Turf Valley Resort is seeking a reliable Banquet Setup and Cleaning Staff member to join our team. This role involves preparing meeting rooms and banquet areas for events, ensuring proper equipment setup, cleaning, and maintaining a neat environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

• Set up and arrange banquet areas according to event specifications and floor plans.
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, podiums, and pipe and drape as required.
• Assist in loading dinner plates onto trays and sorting dishes during meal service.
• Transport heavy equipment, including tanks, grills, ice sculptures, and food warmers.
• Maintain cleanliness of service hallways, floors, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean bars, including taps, sinks, ice bins, and mirrors.
• Handle recycling tasks, breaking down cardboard boxes and glass bottles.
• Manage multiple room assignments simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Work independently and actively seek tasks during downtime.
• Store equipment properly and ensure rooms are set up and broken down correctly.
• Maintain proper uniform, including khaki or black pants, gray banquet shirt, and black shoes.
• Use cell phones for job-related purposes only.
• Complete additional responsibilities as needed and directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and ability to follow event specifications and floor plans.
• Physical ability to transport heavy equipment and perform cleaning tasks.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and seek tasks proactively.
• Previous experience in banquet setup and cleaning preferred but not required.
