Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Perform daily accounting operations to assure the accurate and timely preparation of payments to vendors, financial statements, internal management reporting.
Code invoices, reconcile accounts and follow through on reconciliation actions.
Manages department budgets and prepares income statements for department executives. Prepare weekly accounting reporting, including bank reconciliation and financial analysis.
Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers, bank statements, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and manage vehicle flooring lines.
Education and Experience
2 years experience in public accounting or 4 years industry experience with increasing responsibility
Strong knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Understanding and experience with fixed asset accounting, sales tax compliance, sales/gross margin analysis, account reconciliation, and month-end closing & analysis
Experience in Microsoft Excel and other office software
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to stay on critical schedule
