MAKE UP FOR EVER honored to be a part of the LVMH group, the largest luxury conglomerate in the world. Louis Vuitton Moet-Hennessy is home to 75 distinguished houses rooted in six different sectors. MAKE UP FOR EVER is a professional cosmetic's brand founded in 1984 by artist, Dany Sanz. Originally a painter and sculptor working in Parisian cabarets and theaters in the late 1980s, Sanz discovered that art of body painting, what she coined as her “paintings in motion”. After harnessing her body painting craft, she went on to teach make-up artists her techniques, slowly building following in the make-up community and a revolution in the world of make-up.

Today, MAKE UP FOR EVER is a leader in the professional beauty market, providing high quality products in a wide range of colors and textures for MUAs and everyday consumers alike. Our products have been featured in hit shows like Riverdale and Euphoria, major publications like Allure and Glamour, and runways around the world.

MAKE UP FOR EVER is looking for a Director Financial Planning & Analysis, based in New York Office and reporting to the Vice-President, Finance & Business Operations. Responsible for building monthly closes, budgets and strategic plans. Works directly with VP Finance and General Manager on translating the strategy into a meaningful, articulated and accurate financial strategy. Communicates with every department on performance. Work on sales goals with commercial teams. Manages 1 direct report.

Responsibilities

Budgets / Strategic plans

• Meet with all departments to prepare budget
• Participate in all preparation meetings to define objectives and priorities
• Challenge department heads on their assumptions
• Build the budget, create appropriate comparisons
• Prepare final presentation and defend budget/Strategic plan strategy along with General Manager and VP Finance to the Global CFO
• Enter timely all necessary information in the dedicated financial systems
• Create/nurture confidence and a collaborative relationship with HQ’s financial team

Monthly/Quarterly close

• In collaboration with the Controller, prepare and deliver numbers on Net Sales
• In collaboration with the Controller, prepare and deliver numbers on the full P&L
• Enter data accordingly in all financial systems
• Whenever necessary, enter information on balance sheet

Topline

• Outlook
• Monthly re-estimate of gross shipments for the next 3 months
• Prepare information and review it with general manager, sales and digital teams
• Sales Reporting
• Issue all sales reporting internally and to HQ, weekly and monthly
• Returns
• Work with Operations Manager to anticipate flows and check position vs budget
• Recommend accruals and releases
• Sales Goals
• In collaboration with the VP of Sales, establish yearly/monthly/weekly goals by territory and commercial line
• Follow up on goals and adapt whenever necessary

Operational Expenses

• Monthly close
• Meet with every department after each close to review situation
• Samples
• Make sure all operations are in line with IAS38 regulations
• Work with Operations Manager to anticipate flows and check position vs budget
• Create all necessary ad-hoc formats for specific requests by department heads

Qualifications

• College Degree Required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification Preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis team with growing responsibilities
• Team player, sharp & flexible with a can-do spirit
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills rquired
• Organized & Analytical
• Rigorous & Results-oriented
