OB TITLE: Repair and Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)
JOB SUMMARY
The Repair and Maintenance Technician works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure that repairs are done safely, up to code and adhere to the Magnolia Bakery quality standards. Repair and Maintenance Technician also facilitates with direct supervision whether a licensed technician is needed for a particular job and communicates this efficiently and effectively. This will be a part-time hourly role, working 20-25 hours a week.
PAY RANGE: $20-25/hour
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

• Fulfills the necessary repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Assists in larger projects with Facilities Manager.
• Takes direction from Facilities Manager and plans week out based on the needs of the company.
• Maintains procedures and documents work daily directly to Facilities Manager.
• Responsible for training staff on proper usage or equipment if mishandled.
• Anticipates and resolves any future issues with equipment.
• Ensures that troubleshooting is done in a safe manner for staff, customers, and self.
• Follows directions for operating and monitoring proper functioning of all kitchen equipment.
• Follows all safety and sanitation procedures including DOH and FDA standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Position requires standing and walking for period of 3-5 hours without a rest break.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Work environment includes working with hot cooking equipment, electrical and plumbing.
• Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required.
• Comfortability on a ladder for long periods and ability to work at a safe height.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of repair or maintenance experience in a Food Service environment.
• Experience with simple tools and their use. Tool ownership a plus, but not required.
• Leadership skills including a strong desire to ensure that every bakery is in safe, working condition.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• A working cellular device.
• Open availability.
• Hours of work for the position are 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with store staff and management. Strong interpersonal skills.
• Follows policies and procedures.
• Takes directions well and hits the ground running.
• Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
• Organized with good time management skills.
• Trade skills or certifications a plus.
